Higher National Diploma (HND)
Computer Graphics & Web Design
Visual design, interface design, and web development for digital products, brands, and platforms.
About Computer Graphics & Web Design
This is the discipline where what people see meets what actually works. It joins graphic design, animation and photography to interface design and the web development that makes a digital product real. The pathway is designed to develop people who can carry an idea from a sketch and a storyboard through design into something built, responsive and live.
Programme objective
Trains senior technicians across the full range of web design work: building dynamic, responsive websites using the content management systems and frameworks most in demand, adding interactivity through scripts and modules, and applying search engine optimisation.
From the national HND curriculum for this specialty.

The BOLO Professional Edge
Build it.Explain it.Present it.Defend it.Lead it.
Design work lives or dies on the explanation. A designer who can present a direction, defend a decision against a strong opinion, and tell the story of why an interface works will see their best ideas survive contact with a client.
Professional capability is built into the BOLO IT academic model rather than offered alongside it — writing, speaking, presenting and leading are taught as academic content at every level.
