About E-Commerce & Digital Marketing

Selling online is a technical discipline as much as a commercial one. It runs on commerce platforms, digital channels, measurement and the judgement to read what the numbers are actually saying. The pathway is designed to develop people who can build and grow an online business, and who understand the technology underneath it well enough to make it work.

Programme objective

Builds a strong foundation in the core concepts of digital marketing, and a working understanding of how to plan and run campaigns that convert, from social media marketing through to search.

From the national HND curriculum for this specialty.

The BOLO Professional Edge

Build it.Explain it.Present it.Defend it.Lead it.

Commercial work is persuasion backed by evidence. Reading the data is half of it; the other half is writing the case, presenting it to people holding the budget, and defending a recommendation when the room is sceptical.

Professional capability is built into the BOLO IT academic model rather than offered alongside it — writing, speaking, presenting and leading are taught as academic content at every level.
